Dwight Palmer

–

Falcon, Missouri

Dwight Palmer, 69, of Falcon, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Dwight was born at Knob Noster Air Force Base, to John and Peggy Palmer. His father served as an Air Force serviceman so the family moved several times before eventually settling on a dairy farm in Lebanon, Missouri. After graduating from high school, Dwight worked a variety of jobs, including a truck driver delivering propane as well as Detroit tool for over 5 years in Lebanon, Mo. After a back injury left him unable to continue strenuous labor, Dwight found another way to use his talents and began his own handyman business.
That business became so much more than a job. Dwight had a gift for fixing just about anything, and he used that gift to help countless friends, neighbors, and people throughout his community. He was the person people knew they could call when something needed fixing, when they needed advice, or simply when they needed someone willing to lend a hand. Dwight never hesitated to help, and more often than not, he was only a phone call away.
In 1998 Dwight was able to purchase land not far from where he grew up in Falcon. He built his home from the ground up and cherished living a simple life.
Dwight had many things he loved in life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and picking blackberries. He especially enjoyed making things with his hands, including doll furniture for his grandchildren. His greatest joy, however, was his family. He treasured the time he spent with his children and grandchildren and leaves behind countless memories that will be cherished for generations.
Dwight married the love of his life, Peggy Palmer, in 2000. Together, they created a blended family filled with children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom Dwight loved dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Palmer; his children, Stacey Gibbs (Donnie), Brandon Palmer (Jamie) , Ginger Kurt ( Sam), and Chance Palmer (Jamie) ; his stepchildren, Amanda Clark (Brian), and her daughter Andria, and Jimmy Clark and his children Dalton and Madilyn; and his grandchildren, Grant, Joshua, Colton, Jordan, Harrison, Anna, Charlotte, Hunter, Avery, and Kaisyn, several great grandchildren along with his extended family and many dear friends. Burrell Wise a lifelong friend who spent countless hours helping him the last few months.

Dwight’s faith was an important part of his life. He was a member of Lynchburg Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Missouri, where he was part of the church family for more than two decades.
Dwight was a kind, generous, and dependable man. He was the kind of person who would stop what he was doing to help someone else. Whether he was repairing something, offering a recommendation, working in his garden, spending time outdoors, or simply being there for his family, Dwight gave of himself freely.
He will be remembered for his helping hands, his generous heart, his unwavering faith, his love of the outdoors, and most of all, his deep love for his family. His greatest legacy will live on in the people he helped, the things he built, the lessons he sharede, and the memories he created with those he loved, especially his grandchildren.
Dwight may no longer be just a phone call away, but the love, kindness, and memories he left behind will remain close to the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A special thanks to Phoenix Hospice for all the love and care they provided during his final months. There will be a memorial service at Lynchburg Baptist church in Lynchburg, Mo on October 3rd at 2pm.
