Joseph Michael Glebaucis
October 12, 1973 - August 1, 2026
Joseph Michael Glebaucis, 52, of Branson, MO passed away surrounded by his family on August 1, 2026.
The family wanted to convey their sincere gratitude and profound thanks to the first responders of Southern Stone County Fire Protection District, for their hard work and heroism in taking care of Joseph in his time of need. The family has also asked to include a special message of thanks for the tireless efforts and above and beyond care that Joseph received from all of the doctors, nurses and support staff of Mercy Hospital. Your dedication to helping the helpless is an inspiration.

Originally from Gardner, MA, Joseph is survived by his dear father John Glebaucis and his siblings, Peter, Susan and Kathy and her husband Craig. He also leaves behind his nephews, Chase, Owen, Luca and Josh. His nieces Jaylin and Tracy, also Jaylin’s son, Keegan who was Josephs great nephew.
Joseph and his family mourned the loss of his mother Eleanor in 2004 and his youngest sister Lisa who passed away August 15, 2023. The family has also mourned the loss of Josephs older sister Donna. Josephs closest high school friend Paul became a second brother, and loyal friend.

His path took him to live in New York City with Peter and Susan, his older siblings, where Joseph worked as an usher in Broadway theater. It was in that city where Joseph developed his love of art, theatre and poetry. His love of animals was close to his heart. His dear departed cat Maurice was a companion for many years. He leaves behind two cats, Salinger and Tough Guy, who have been adopted by his friend Jim and his family.

Upon graduating from Barnstable High School in 1992, Joseph spent years in the Midwest before returning to Massachusetts to help his family. He was an avid writer, creating poetry, characters, plays and screenwriting. He helped take care of his family helping his father care for his mother when she was seriously ill and in later years was caregiver to his father.
Joseph loved the countryside and quiet farm life of Branson, Mo. He worked alongside one of his oldest friends and his family at their farm. Jim Kilroy his wife Kerry and children James and Scarlett, her husband Matt and their children Grae and Jack; were all a big part of Josephs life. Jim and Joseph would have coffee every day before work. He had grown close to his friend Nate and his son Cameron; they had become part of his inner circle. Holidays became a special time for Joseph and his extended family. The Sanctuary of Hope Church was a center point of his faith. His bond with Pastor Sam Kaunly was important to Joseph. The Glebaucis family has been deeply touched by the avalanche of support and unwavering help they have gotten from all of Josephs friends, who went out of their way and above and beyond in their time of need. At the end, Joseph was happy and content and built for himself a full and rich life with all who knew him. On the farm he grew a wide variety of vegetables, which lovingly helped provide for the food ministry. The produce that he grew was given away at his Church and to his friends, which meant a great deal to him. He was many things and lived his life in service to others. He was a friend and brother to many and will be greatly missed.
