Kris Renner was born April 8, 1974, in Greeley, Colorado. He was an extraordinary man of incredible strength, determination, and talent, with an adventurous spirit and a genuine love for life.
Kris believed that "Today is a great day to have a great day," and he did his best to live by those words. He believed in working hard, playing hard, and making the most of the time he was given. He took great pride in building a life and a future for his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
An entrepreneur and a builder at heart, Kris was happiest when he had something to work on, a problem to solve, or an adventure waiting around the corner. There wasn't much he couldn't figure out or accomplish once he set his mind to it. He appreciated the satisfaction of a job well done and the quiet beauty of a sunset at the end of a productive day. Kris was the kind of man who didn't simply dream about the life he wanted — he rolled up his sleeves, built it, and then made sure to enjoy every bit of it.
Kris loved the outdoors and found happiness in adventure. Whether boating, exploring waterfalls, riding side-by-sides, traveling through the mountains, or simply enjoying wildlife and scenery, he saw God's handiwork in the world around him. He had a lifelong passion for travel, the wilderness, classic cars, racing, and building things with his own two hands.
Life with Kris was rarely boring. He had a way of turning an ordinary day into something memorable. To his wife, Diana, he was her "Magic Man" — a man who seemed capable of doing just about anything.
Kris wasn't defined by what he owned, what he accomplished, or what he endured. Those things were remarkable, but there was so much more to him. Above all, he treasured God, his family, and the life he was blessed to live.
Kris faced his long battle with cancer with the same determination that defined so much of his life. He will be remembered for the life he lived, the things he built, the adventures he embraced, and the love he had for his family.
Kris is survived by his wife, Diana Dakan; his stepson, Dakan Walker; his daughter, Sierra Goering, and her husband, Garrett; their son and Kris' grandson, Waylon Goering; and his beloved four-legged companion, Bandit.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, W. Lloyd and Betty Buckland & Paul and Leona Renner, along with his cherished four-legged companion, Izzy.
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." — 2 Timothy 4:7
Family and friends are invited to share their memories and photographs of Kris on his memorial page, celebrating a life well lived and a man who will be deeply missed.
