Mark Bennett

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Wayne Bennett, affectionately known as 'Bubby', on September 21, 2026. Born on December 1, 1961, in Kansas City, MO, Mark was a beacon of empathy, wit, and intelligence. His thoughtful nature and smart wit were the highlights of his personality.

Mark spent his early years in Florence, AZ, before briefly relocating to Los Alamos, NM. He moved to Springfield, Missouri to attend Missouri State University in 1984. After obtaining his degree, Mark moved to Tucson, AZ, then returned to Springfield, MO in 2013.

Mark was a devoted son to his late mother, Nancy Bennett, and a beloved brother to Lea Anna Bennett. His love and dedication extended to his Aunt, Jill Martin, who survives him. Those who knew Mark will remember his witty sense of humor and his love for his pets.

Mark is survived by his sister, Lea Anna, brother Matthew (Carol) Nieces Amber (Roy) and Molly and Nephews Tomas (Vanessa) and Mitch. Great nieces and nephews, Roy, Evan, Liam, Rosyln, Ezra, Zayden and Amaya.

It is with love and gratitude that Aunt Jill and Uncle Jerry Martin with cousin Chase are fully acknowledged for the dedicated support, care and kindness they extended and gave to Mark during his life.

Mark's niece, Amber Espericueta, has also given her compassionate care and help over the years and is fully appreciated for her dedication.
