Nancy Walker

Nancy Arwood Applewhite Walker, 87, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed away, peacefully on September 22, 2026 in Ozark, Missouri.

Born August 26, 1939 in Jackson, Tennessee, she graduated from Jackson High School in 1955. She and her late husband Laurence served as missionaries with the IMB from April 1968 to December 1979 in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Nancy later served on staff as the Initial Contacts Coordinator for the IMB, in Richmond, VA, retiring August 28, 2004.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Edie White, her sister Sherry Applewhite, and her grandchildren Faith Curtis, Wesley Roberts, Shane White, and Nathan White, as well as 6 great grandchildren and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Laurence Walker, her parents Edward and Mary Applewhite, and her daughter Cindy Roberts.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Highland Memorial Gardens located at 3360 N. Highland Ave. Jackson Tennessee.
