Ted Newton Obituary (1955 - 2025)

William Ted Newton, age 69, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away on August 9, 2025. Ted was born on August 15, 1955, in Lebanon, Missouri. He was a 1973 graduate of Humansville High School. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Amy Marie Newton; his father, William Newton; his mother, Coleen Newton; and his sister, Jo Ann White. He is survived by two siblings: Andy Newton and Linda Cushman; his dearest friend, Shawna Newton; his children: William Andrew Newton, Katie Jo and her husband, Dustin Campbell, and Shelby Marie Newton; as well as four cherished grandchildren: Pfeifer Kay, Kennedy Jo, Sadie Marie, and William Miles. Ted had a deep appreciation for life’s slower, quieter moments. He could often be found with a good book in hand and a quick witted one liner at the ready. He had a gift for storytelling capturing your attention and ending with full-belly laughter. His mischievous sense of humor often came out during scary movies or spooky stories, especially when he saw the perfect moment to jump out and startle someone. He found joy in simply relaxing, sharing his life experiences, and loving his family and nobody did it better. Ted leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and unforgettable stories. Those who knew him will carry his voice in their hearts and remember him with every good book, shared laugh, and quiet moment of peace. In true Ted fashion, he’d probably want us to smile more than cry, kick back, tell a joke, and enjoy the moment just like he always did.
